Requirements
Playground ball/kickball needed
Objective
To have fun using minimal equipment, especially at a park or large green space.
Description
After the ball is kicked into the field, instead of running around bases, the kicker runs around their own team which is in a straight line near the kicker. Every time the runner completes a lap around their team a run is scored. The play stops when the pitcher regains control of the ball. Tally up the runs that the kicker earned and then the next kicker is up to bat. The inning ends when everyone has had a turn to bat. Switch sides and complete the inning. A helpful strategy is having a nice tight line to run around. Having large gaps in the line makes for a farther run.
