This game is designed to use both your logic skills and your creative skills!
What’s needed:
2 sets of any random objects/supplies, about even for each team
A large pile of flags/pennies/beanbags, something that can be easily grabbed for a point
First, split into 2 teams, and leave an adult to be the judge. Within each team, split evenly into 2 groups; one will start as the “left brain” and the other will start as the “right brain.” The right brains for each team will be using their team’s large pile of random objects and using their imagination to turn it into something new and fantastic. For example, they might turn a triangle cone upside down and put a ball on it and now it is an ice cream cone! Once they have an idea, they take it up to the judge and explain. The judge then awards them 1-3 points based on creativity and complexity, the more the better! After they are judged, they run back to their team’s left brains and tell them how many points they got. The left brains then begin a relay race to the pile of flags and brings one back at a time. The right brain that was just judged puts their items back in the pile and can start thinking of a new idea with new objects while the other right brains take their own ideas to get judged. The round ends when the pile of flags is gone, and each team can count how many they got. Then, each team switches their left and right brains (stay on the same team, just switch which activity you were doing). Then repeat!
I love this game because it can use whatever equipment you have and not only has kids running around but also gets them to use their creativity and imagination. And feel free to put your own twist on it!
